Eagles boys look to get back on track vs. Bulldogs

The Southern Door Eagles boys' basketball team hopes conference play will give them the reset they need when they play at Peshtigo on Thursday.

Drew Daoust got his points, but the Eagles could not get much else from the roster in a 63-47 loss to Sheboygan Falls. The game was close at the break, with the Falcons holding a 32-28 advantage. The Eagles struggled in the second half, allowing the Falcons to shoot 16 free throws compared to just two. Daoust scored 25 points, but Matthew Malvitz and Caden Pierre were the next leading scorers with just seven points.

The Bulldogs got off to a strong start this season thanks to a two-game sweep at the M&O/Packerland Challenge, blowing past Coleman before beating Crivitz. Dominik Baxter has been a big reason, as he averages 24.5 points per game. Will McMahon is still a worthy sidekick, averaging a double-double with 15.5 points and 10 rebounds a game.

Tip-off in Peshtigo is set for 7:30 p.m.
