Eagles run through Marinette to remain perfect

The Southern Door Eagles did not need to use their air attack to rout Marinette 54-14 in Brussels Friday night.  The Eagles would score on the opening possession thanks to a 29-yard run by quarterback Drew Daoust to jump to an early 7-0 lead less than two minutes into the game. They would maintain a lead the entire rest of the game, even though Marinette would score once in each quarter of the first half.

The Eagles offense had things working for them as they would score 3 touchdowns in each quarter of the first half. They would add 2 touchdowns in the third quarter, the second of which would send the game into a running clock for the remainder of the game.  Drew Daoust found his way into the endzone a total of 4 times, and Zach Lynch would add 3 touchdowns of his own.  The defense wanted to score as well, and did so when Cruz Cavillo picked up a Marinette fumble and ran 65 yards into the endzone.

Souther Door will look to remain perfect next week as they travel to Peshtigo on Friday night.
