The Southern Door Eagles will look to bounce back from their first Packerland loss in nearly two seasons as they take on the Blazers of NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy Friday.
Southern Door was swept by the Kewaunee Storm by scores of 4-3 and 10-6 on their way to potentially losing their first conference championship in a few seasons. The Eagles are 14-3 overall and 10-2 in the Packerland, with two doubleheaders left to play in the season against the Blazers and the rival Clippers.
NEW Lutheran has not been able to find much of a groove this season, as they have a 5-12 record overall and are 3-11 in the Packerland, sitting second-to-last in the standings. Tuesday was the last time the Blazers played, when they fell 11-1 to the Roncalli Jets. They did recently sweep Sevastopol in conference play however, so the Blazers will look to keep the conference momentum rolling and steal a game from Southern Door.
First pitch from Green Bay is slated for 4:30 p.m.
