Southern Door softball watches Thunder roll in

The Southern Door Eagles softball team has a busy week of softball to play, and will be smack dab in the middle of it when they host the Seymour Thunder on Thursday.

Southern Door was all over Gibraltar from the start of both games on Tuesday, finishing both games in 5 innings or less. With the final scores in the pair being 11-1 and 22-3, some of the varsity players were able to get some rest during the long stretch of the season. The Eagles are now 6-2 overall and 4-2 in Packerland play. After the one game with Seymour, Southern Door will head to Peshtigo to take on the conference-leading Bulldogs.

Seymour comes into the matchup with identical records as Southern Door, at 6-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play. The Thunder play in the Bay Conference, and are coming off a 12-2 win over Xavier and 14-10 win over Winneconne before that.

First pitch from Southern Door is set for 4:30 p.m.
