Southern Door High School

Eagle softball set for rematch with Wrightstown

The Southern Door Eagles fell in the first matchup against Sevastopol on Tuesday, but lead the second game that was postponed 10-4. Southern Door will have to move on for now as they have a doubleheader against the Tigers of Wrightstown.

These two teams are familiar with each other, as the Eagles upset the Tigers as the number six seed in the playoffs last season, ousting Wrightstown by a score of 5-4. Southern Door returns nearly every impact player from that win and will look to keep the momentum against the Tigers rolling. Southern Door will also resume play against Sevastopol on April 18th at 4:00 p.m. in Brussels.

Wrightstown has started their season 1-0 with a win over Waupaca. The Tigers play out of the NEC, the same conference as the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans, and will have revenge on their mind when they take the field against the Eagles.

First pitch of game one of the doubleheader is set for 4:30 p.m.
