Southern Door baseball looks to continue success against Reedsville

After rolling over the Sevastopol Pioneers in both games of a doubleheader, the Southern Door Eagles will move to some non-conference action as they take on Reedsville on the road.

Between the multiple innings of more than one run scored per inning and two pitchers combining for a perfect game in five innings, the Eagles of Southern Door got off to a hot start in their regular season action. Christian Counard got the ball for Southern Door in the second for the first four innings, striking out 11 of the 12 batters he faced. Jaden Diller was on for one inning of relief striking out all three batters, resulting in the perfect game for the duo and 14 strikeouts in 15 batters faced.

The regular season for Reedsville has been a mixed bag of results so far, with their record standing at 1-2. After losing their first game 13-1 to Valders, the Panthers bounced back to beat Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 15-0. St. Mary's Catholic defeated Reedsville on Tuesday 4-0. Levi Korstad has thrown five scoreless innings so far this season, with six strikeouts in the win over Elkhart Lake.

First pitch from Reedsville is set for 4:00 p.m.
