Eagles begin playoff run hosting Two Rivers on U-102.1

The Southern Door Eagles boys basketball team will be coming off of a first round bye in the Regional Quarterfinals when they take on the tenth seeded Two Rivers on Friday night with a trip to the Regional Title on the line.

In the midst of their 18 game winning streak, Southern Door has been rolling over teams in the new year, and have not lost since December 16th. Two Rivers was a victim in one of those wins for the Eagles, as Southern Door rolled 76-39. That was the matchup where Sophomore Drew Daoust broke the 1000 point mark, dropping 32 points total. The Eagles will have to make sure they do not look over the Raiders in search of a regional title, but trends show that Southern Door could be flying into a Saturday night matchup if the Pirates cannot slow them down.

Two Rivers will enter the matchup against the Eagles at an 11-14 record. The Raiders upset the Kewaskum Indians 47-34 in the opening round behind stout defense and 16 points from Brady Richards. The Raiders did not let a single Kewaskum player reach double figures, and will have to bring that same defense against the Eagles, who had scorers of 32, 16, and 13 in the last matchup back on January 31st.

Jacob Nate and Gary Barta will be on the call from Brussels on U-102.1 and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com. The pregame show will begin at 6:45 with tipoff set for 7:00 between the Eagles and Raiders.
