The Southern Door wrestling contingent at the WIAA State Wrestling Tournament made a little history on Thursday while advancing to the second day of the tournament.
Both Nora LeFevre (100) and Hailey Veeser (138) won their first matches, becoming the first in state history to win matches at the newly sanctioned WIAA Girls State Wrestling Tournament. LeFevre lost her quarterfinal match by major decision in the quarterfinal round while Veeser won hers by decision to advance to the semifinals. Both girls will wrestle again on Friday.
