The Southern Door Eagles boys' basketball team used good ball movement and a solid inside game to leave Fish Creek with a 63-47 win over the Gibraltar Vikings.

 

The match-up along with the Little Vikings brought some extra energy to the game, which started with the Vikings scoring the first seven points of the game. The Eagles would flip the script of the first half thanks to a 11-2 run to close the half to make it 28-22.

The Eagles wore down the Vikings' defense in the second half as they scored 35 points after the break, including a 19-6 run that ultimately put the game out of reach halfway through the second half. 

For the Eagles, Drew Daoust led the way with 30 points, while Jared Hawkey added 12 points. Taylor Schaefer and Lance LeGrave each chipped in seven points.

 

Will Friedenfels paced the Vikings with 18 points as he was able to use his size to his advantage. Braden Sitte contributed nine points and Carl Burgess added eight points in the loss.
