Eagles boys sink Clippers

Balanced scoring at the top of its line-up helped Southern Door soar past Sturgeon Bay Thursday night in a 72-53 victory.

The Eagles were able to pepper the Clippers underneath during the game as they carried a 37-25 lead into halftime and outscored them by eight in the second half. That is despite the Clippers outshooting the Eagles from behind the arc 9-1.

Drew Daoust (26) and Taylor Schaefer (23) cracked the 20-point barrier for the Eagles in the victory. Jared Hawkey added 10 points for the Eagles.

For the Clippers, Isaak Aune drained five three-pointers en route to a team-high 26 points to match Daoust. Garrett Ulberg pitched in 12 points for the Clippers while Calvin Richard added nine points from behind the arc.
