Eagles girls look to keep momentum Thursday versus Blue Devils

The Southern Door Eagles girls basketball team will look to use the momentum from their 70-44 win over the Sturgeon Bay Clippers as they take on the Oconto Blue Devils on Thursday night.

The status of the Eagles guard Payton Gilbertson will still be up in the air after not being active for Monday night's game. That remains important because of the impact Gilbertson brought to the court in the last matchup versus Oconto, leading the way with 14 points, including 3 threes. Southern Door would fall in that matchup versus Oconto by eight however, and will look to avenge that loss.

Oconto is fresh off of a large win over the Gibraltar Vikings on Tuesday night. Addisyn Viestenz continues to be a scoring threat every time she steps on the court, scoring a team-high 24 points in the win, including three made threes. The Blue Devils will enter the matchup against the Eagles with a 14-5 overall record, and sit in second in the Packerland at 9-2, tied with Peshtigo.

Tipoff from Oconto is set for 7:30 P.M.
