Daoust hits 1,000 points as Eagles cruise to victory over Two Rivers

History was made on the hardwoods on Tuesday night, as Drew Daoust eclipsed the 1,000 point landmark in his sophomore year.

The Southern Door Eagles dominated the Two Rivers Purple Raiders on the road 76-39 as Daoust poured in 20 of his game-high 32 points in the second half.  Needing nine points to hit 1,000 for his career, Daoust accomplished the feat late in the first half as the Eagles flew to a convincing non-conference win.  Jared Hawkey added 16 points and Taylor Schaefer chipped in another 13 for the Eagles.

The Eagles will now host Sevastopol on Friday night in the Hall of Fame game that will honor Steve Neville and John Berns.  The game will be broadcast on 103.3 The Clipper and streamed on New Radio Sports Network with Paul Schmitt and Reece Robillard on the call with pregame set for 7:15 and tip at 7:30 p.m.
