Eagles girls travel to Shiocton looking to stay perfect

The Eagles of Southern Door’s Girls Basketball team will look to improve to 2-0 on the season when they travel to Shiocton Tuesday night.

Southern Door took down the Wausaukee Rangers 64-41 Friday night behind a huge showing from Allianna Dufek. After tearing her ACL dating back to the last fall season, Dufek wasted no time getting back to dominating the basketball court, as she scored 22 points, leading the Eagles. Southern Door faced Shiocton last season, and fell to them in their season opener 59-34. This Eagles team is more experienced however, and should play a much closer game than last season.

Shiocton is opening their season against the Eagles, as their game against the Sevastopol Pioneers was postponed due to their football team being in the WIAA State Football Championship game. Shiocton is only losing one senior from last year's 16-11 team, which is Larissa Young, who was their leading scorer with 9.9 Points Per Game.

The game is set to begin at 7:15 in Shiocton.
