Eagles face Chilton in level two clash

Southern Door will take on the Chilton Tigers in a WIAA regional semifinal matchup in Brussels Friday night.

The Eagles, after rolling over the Brillion Tigers 49-0 last Friday, will take on another Eastern Wisconsin Conference team in Chilton. The Tigers have been tough competition for a lot of teams this year, led by their great defense. Southern Door has arguably one of the best defenses in their section of the bracket, if not their sectional in whole. The Eagle offense has been able to show their strides as of late as well, putting up 40 points in back to back weeks against the Clippers and the Tigers. They will look to put more up to get them to the regional finals.

Chilton defeated the Clintonville Truckers 7-6 in a low scoring defensive battle. The Tigers were able to pick off Quarterback Kade Rosenow twice, who was in the top of the state in passing yards and touchdowns. Chilton is able to run it on the ground well, starting with their running back Jared Gehl who was able to run for 129 yards against the Truckers. The two teams have similar strengths on offense and defense, so it should be set up for a great game in Brussels.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 P.M.
