Southern Door sees Lomira in Week 2 matchup

Southern Door took care of business on the road last week, and will have the Lomira Lions waiting for them on their home field Friday night.

Southern Door (1-0), handled the Oostburg Flying Dutchmen by shutting them down on their own home field 27-0. After a dominant performance by sophomore quarterback Drew Daoust in which he found 7 different receivers in his 9 completions ending in 208 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Eagles appeared to have found their balance between offense and defense as they had 322 total yards of offense while also pitching a shutout. The Eagles will hope to keep that defensive effort up as they face a potent Lomira offense that scored 53 points last week.

Lomira (1-0), blew out their opponent Horicon/Hustisford last week 53-7 behind 8 rushing touchdowns from their offense. Three of those touchdowns came from their quarterback Connor Steers, who was able to do whatever he wanted on the field last Friday night. The Eagles defense could have their hands full, as five different players on the Lions found the endzone in week one.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 P.M.
