The Southern Door Eagles girls' basketball team hopes to rebound from their loss earlier this week when they play at Gibraltar Friday night.

The Eagles just got nipped by Algoma in their game earlier this week 44-41. Kendra Shimon scored 21 points in the loss as she caught fire in the second half with a number of three-pointers. She is averaging a double-double this season with 11 points and 10 rebounds a contest.

Andie Schar led the way with over 20 of the team's 30 points in their 75-30 loss to Sevastopol earlier this week. The team remains winless on the season, but the young team has shown some improvement as the season has gone along. Colleen Carlisle has been a nice complement to Schar's offense, averaging over six points and five rebounds a game.
