The Southern Door Eagles girls' basketball team started strong but were held in check in the second half of their 70-41 loss to Oconto Falls on Thursday night.

The Eagles shot only four free throws after the break compared to 14 in the first half. Kendra Shimon did most of the damage for the Eagles, scoring 15 points including two of the team's three three-pointers. Bella Price added 10 points in the loss for the Eagles.

Southern Door is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Sturgeon Bay. The game will be broadcast on 103.3 The Clipper beginning at 7 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7:30 p.m.
