Southern Door's Hailey Shimon has six throws to go for gold at the WIAA Division 2 State Track Meet in LaCrosse on Friday.

Shimon qualified for the state meet in discus with a toss of 119-04 feet. That is the seventh furthest distance in the field for Friday with six throwers exceeding 120 feet and two exceeding 130 feet. If she can recapture her magic from the Door County Classic where she threw a personal record of over 131 feet, she could land herself with a silver medal.
