The Door County United Swim Team got off to a fast start in its first meet of the year earlier this week.

They earned the 113 to 63 victory over Pulaski at the Door County YMCA on Thursday night. The team finished in first place in nine of the eleven varsity events including both the 200-medley relay and 200 free relay.

Sanya Wienke finished first in the 100 freestyle. Ella Wienke has a second-place finish in the 100 backstroke and a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle. Brooke Strege came in second in the 500 freestyle. Door County United will face DePere and Ashwaubenon in Ashwaubenon next Saturday.
