Southern Door hosted Saint Mary Springs in the second round of regionals Thursday, winning 3-2 in a hard-fought, five-set match.

 

The match went back forth with the Eagles clinching the finals appearance with two straight set wins. Set scores were 18-25, 25-20, 19-25, 27-25, and 15-10. Stat leaders on the evening were 

Kendra Dantoin with 31 kills and19 digs, Carissa Bartels collecting 19 kills, 21 digs, and 4 blocks, 

Jackie Atkins making 28 digs,  and Nicole Norton collecting 60 assists. With that effort, Norton was able to eclipse the 1,000 assist mark. 

 

Southern Door will travel to #1 seed Howard’s Grove Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
