The Gibraltar Vikings hope to hit the ground running on the football field Saturday afternoon when they play Oakfield in Kewaskum.
Aside from some voluntary practices, the Vikings had a week off from practice for spring break following its 52-22 loss to NEW Lutheran in its first game of the season last month. With their first full week practicing outdoors behind them this week, Gibraltar head football coach Mike Peck believes his team will be more prepared this week despite small numbers.
The Oaks are coming off their first win of the season last week in an exciting 64-52 win over Sturgeon Bay in Ashwaubenon. Peck says the Oaks have a lot of great players that do many things well.
Tim Kowols and Tanner Bickford will have the call from Kewaskum on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 12:30 p.m. with the pregame show followed by kickoff at 1 p.m.
