The Green Bay Gamblers will hit the road Friday night to take on the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.
Green Bay enters the matchup looking to turn its season around after a difficult start. The Gamblers are 3-9 and currently sit eighth in the Eastern Conference. Green Bay has scored 25 goals while allowing 52 through its first 12 games.
Cedar Rapids has gotten off to a much stronger start, sitting at 10-4 and leading the Eastern Conference. The RoughRiders have scored 59 goals this season, showcasing the offensive firepower Green Bay will need to slow down.
The Gamblers will need a strong defensive effort, better puck control and more consistent scoring opportunities to compete with one of the conference's top teams. Getting off to a fast start and staying out of the penalty box will also be important.
The teams are scheduled to meet Friday at 7:05 p.m. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
