The Green Bay Packers improved to 4-2 on the season in front of a nationally televised audience on Sunday with a 23-13 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Packers jumped out to a 17-0 lead courtesy of a touchdown pass and run from Jordan Love on either side of a 25-yard field goal by Trey Smack. While Smack kept hitting field goals in the second half, the Cowboys were able to find the end zone on a Javonte Williams touchdown run and a Dak Prescott touchdown pass.
Neither team could run the ball well against the other, with the Cowboys rushing for 48 yards and the Packers running for 57 yards despite nearly twice as many rushes. Pierre Stron led the rushing attack with 28 yards on 11 rushes. Love threw for 258 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Matthew Golden led the team with six catches for over 100 yards, while Christian Watson caught three balls for 64 yards. Evan Williams and Brandon Cisse hauled in interceptions for the Packers defense, which also produced one sack by Lukas Van Ness.
The Packers are back in action on Sunday when they return to divisional play on the road with a date in Detroit against the Lions at 3:25 p.m.
