The Milwaukee Brewers are returning to the World Series for the first time since 1982 after finishing off a sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-4 on Thursday.
It appeared that the champagne was going to be kept on ice early as the Dodgers built up a 4-0 lead after three innings. The Brewers took over from there, scoring two runs in the fourth and fifth innings before Garrett Mitchell's solo shot put the Brewers ahead for good. David Hamilton homered in the ninth to add some insurance before Aaron Ashby closed the door for the Brewers.
The Brewers will wait for the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians to settle their series before hosting game one of the World Series next week. The Guardians lead the series 2-1 after winning 3-2 in a Thursday matinee.
