The Green Bay Gamblers flipped the script Saturday night, overcoming an early two-goal deficit to defeat the Sioux City Musketeers 4-3 and split their weekend series at the Tyson Events Center.

Coming off a 6-1 loss Friday night, Green Bay found itself trailing early once again. Wyatt Sypniewski opened the scoring just 1:34 into the first period before Zach Spagnuolo doubled Sioux City's lead 45 seconds later, putting the Gamblers in a 2-0 hole before the game was three minutes old.

But Green Bay had an answer.

Nick Knutson sparked the comeback just 30 seconds into the second period, scoring his first goal of the season to cut the deficit in half. Just over a minute later, Gunnar Conboy delivered a shorthanded goal, his second of the season, to bring the Gamblers even at two.

Sioux City briefly regained the lead when Max Anderson scored on the power play at 5:56, but Green Bay wasn't going away. Kevin Perreault found the back of the net at 14:30 for his first goal of the season, tying the game at three heading into the final period.

After trading goals throughout the second, the Gamblers broke through in the third when Ethan Drabicki scored his third goal of the season at 6:10, giving Green Bay its first lead of the night.

The Gamblers made that lead stand, holding Sioux City scoreless in the final period to secure the comeback victory.

Green Bay's offense looked much different from Friday's loss, generating 36 shots after managing just 12 the night before. The Gamblers outshot Sioux City 18-6 in the second period alone, helping turn the momentum after a difficult opening 20 minutes.

Joey Slavick made 21 saves in the win, while Sioux City's Will Keane stopped 32 of Green Bay's 36 shots.

The win gives Green Bay its second victory of the 2026-27 season and some momentum after a tough start to the year.
