Gamblers net overtime winner against Steel

The Green Bay Gamblers have a win to their name entering their Tuesday night home opener after sneaking past the Chicago Steel on the road Saturday night.

After a scoreless first period, Milan Kutsevich registered his first goal of the season in the opening minutes of the second period to give the Gamblers a 1-0 lead. It would stay that way until the closing minutes of the third period when the Steel scored to force the game into overtime. The Gamblers ended the contest when Holden Pajor scored with under two minutes to go to give the team the extra point.

Joey Slavick earned the win as the goaltender, stopping 33 of the 34 shots he faced.

The Gamblers open their 2026 home slate Tuesday night against Cedar Rapids at 7:05 p.m. at the Resch Center.
