The Green Bay Packers went to work after the offensive line proved to be an Achilles' heel for the team's offense by announcing two new signings on Monday.
The Packers signed G Laken Tomlinson to the active roster from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad and added G Mekhi Becton Sr. to the practice squad. In corresponding moves, the Packers placed OL Zach Bako-Bewele on injured reserve and released DT Eric Johnson II from the practice squad.
According to Packers.com, Tomlinson is a 12-year player out of Duke and was originally selected by the Detroit Lions in the first round (No. 28 overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He has played for the Lions (2015-16), San Francisco 49ers (2017-21), New York Jets (2022-23), Seattle Seahawks (2024), and Houston Texans (2025).
Becton (6-7, 357) is a seventh-year player out of the University of Louisville and was originally selected by the New York Jets in the first round (No. 11 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He has played for the Jets (2020-23), Philadelphia Eagles (2024), and Los Angeles Chargers (2025).
