The Green Bay Blizzard are hoping for a different conclusion to their 2026 season on Sunday when they face the hometown Arizona Rattlers in the IFL National Championship game in Tucson.

The Blizzard needed more than 60 minutes to clinch their second straight trip to the IFL National Championship game on Sunday, beating the Tulsa Oilers 67-60 in overtime. After Andrew Mevis forced overtime with a 14-yard field goal, Liam Thompson found Isaac Ross for a four-yard touchdown for what ended up being the game-winning score. Thompson ended the game with 232 and seven touchdowns through the air as he completed 20 passes to go along with his 61 rushing yards. Trevon Alexander was his top target with seven grabs for 95 yards and three touchdowns. Draysean Hudson made the most out of his two receptions as they both went for touchdowns.

The Blizzard will travel to Tucson to battle the Rattlers, who beat the San Diego Strike Force 43-37 to secure their spot in the IFL National Championship in front of its home crowd. It is the second straight appearance in the title game for the Blizzard, which lost to the Vegas Night Hawks 64-61 in Tucson last season.
