The Green Bay Blizzard are one win away from the IFL Championship game after dominating the Orlando Pirates 73-59 at the Resch Center on Sunday.
After a close first quarter, the Blizzard went on two separate 14-plus point runs and outscored the Pirates 43-25 in the middle periods to put the game in a comfortable space in the fourth quarter.
Liam Thompson threw for 171 yards and seven touchdowns while Demilon Brown, Draysean Hudson, and Trevon Alexander all found the endzone on the ground. Alexander was Thompson's top target, catching five balls for 76 yards, four of which went for touchdowns.
The Blizzard will try to clinch their spot in the championship game on Sunday when they host the Tulsa Oilers for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
