The Kewaunee Chiefs' Brett Paulsen and Joe Anderson held the Casco A's to just five hits while sitting down 16 batters via the strikeout top secure the 3-0 win Friday night.
Neither team could muster much until Anderson hit into a fielder's choice to drive in Waylon Delain for the game's first run in the seventh inning. The Chiefs added insurance in the eighth inning when Reese Berg slapped a two-run single to extend the lead.
For the Chiefs, Paulsen had two of the team's four hits while Delain and Berg accounted for the other two. The win went to Anderson, who went eight innings, allowed five hits, and struck out 14.
For the A's, Mitch Jandrin went 3-5 while Phil Daniels and Brett Robillard recorded th other two hits. Owen Deprez took the loss, allowing three runs (1 ER) on four hits and a walk while striking out 16 across eight innings.
