Two of the top teams in the Shoreland League face off on Friday night when Kewaunee welcomes Casco to town for a 7:30 p.m. first pitch.

The Chiefs are coming off of their first loss of the season on Wednesday when they lost to Manitowoc 13-3. Trouble started after the Chiefs tied the game on a Cal Ihlenfeldt single. The White Caps scored three runs in the third and fourth innings, four in the fifth, and two in the sixth to end the game after only seven innings. The Chiefs' lone answer to the White Caps' onslaught came in the fourth inning and when they scored two runs on a bases loaded walk and a sacrifice fly. Walon Delain and Joe Anderson were responsible for the two other RBI while the team's six hits were spread throughout the lineup. Delain took the brunt of the damage, allowing six runs (6 ER) on nine hits and three walks while recording just one strikeout across three innings.

The A's blew past Two Rivers in Casco 17-0 on Wednesday. The A's got off to a fast start with four runs in the first inning with Owen Deprez and Blake Robillard recorded run-scoring hits. It was 5-0 when the A's batted around and scored seven runs with run-scoring doubles from Trevor Reinhardt, Casey Weddig, and Tanner Alsteen providing the fireworks. The A's scored two more times in the fifth and another three in the sixth inning to end the game early in the seventh. Nine of the 10 batters recorded hits in the rout with Phillip Daniels leading the way with four hits and an RBI while Deprez and Robillard each had three hits and Weddig and Alsteen posted two. Robillard (4), Weddig (3), Alsteen (2), and Carson Blohowiak (2) all had multi-RBI games. Landon Derenne went the distance, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out six over seven innings.
