The Green Bay Rockers return home on Friday after splitting a doubleheader in Wausau against the Woodchucks on Thursday.

In their 5-2 matinee win, the Rockers scored two insurance runs in the top of the seventh inning to keep the Woodchucks at a safe distance heading into the final innings. Coleman Lewis and David Ballenilla each homered, combining to drive in three runs while Alejandro Covas set the table with a 2-5 afternoon. Brennen Miller secured the win in relief with five innings of shutout ball, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out four.

In their 7-2 loss, the Rockers allowed three runs in the sixth and eighth innings to ruin their chance at a sweep. Lewis' fourth inning home run tied the game briefly and Ballenilla's lead-off dinger gave the Rockers false hope of a rally in the eighth inning. Ballenilla, Mike Dee, and Daniel Harden each had two hits. Eddy Eveland went seven innings, allowing four runs (3 ER) on five hits while striking out five. 

The Rockers play in four in a row at Capital Credit Union Park beginning tonight and Saturday against the Royal Oak Leprecauns.
