Kewaunee could not stop the hot bats of Manitowoc on Wednesday night as they fell 13-3 for their first loss of the season. 

Trouble started after the Chiefs tied the game on a Cal Ihlenfeldt single. The White Caps scored three runs in the third and fourth innings, four in the fifth, and two in the sixth to end the game after only seven innings. The Chiefs' lone answer to the White Caps' onslaught came in the fourth inning and when they scored two runs on a bases loaded walk and a sacrifice fly.

Walon Delain and Joe Anderson were responsible for the two other RBI while the team's six hits were spread throughout the lineup. Delain took the brunt of the damage, allowing six runs (6 ER) on nine hits and three walks while recording just one strikeout across three innings.

The Whitecaps, led by 3-3, four RBI performance from Brock Peterson, will travel to Algoma Thursday to face an Algoma Penguins squad that snapped their losing streak with a 12-6 win over Two Rivers on Monday. First pitch is set for 7:30 p.m.
