The Kolberg Braves scored in each of the first three inning en route to a 5-1 win over West Jacksonport on Sunday.
Austin Rohe's first-inning homer, Trevor Hawkey's sacrifice fly in the second inning, and an error in the third inning helped the Braves jump to a 3-0 lead. The lead would grow to 4-0 before the Ports scored their lone run on a Drew Tanck RBI double. The Braves pushed it back to a four run lead in the eighth courtesy of a wild pitch.
For the Braves, Jack Peterson went 3-4 while Devin Schinktgen and Nick LeCaptain each had two hits. Trevor Reinhardt secured the win on the mound, allowing one run (1 ER) on seven hits while striking out six.
For the Ports, Tanck, CJ Goetz, and Luke Steebs each had two hits. Peyton Kuehn took the loss, allowing four runs (2 ER) on six hits and three walks while striking out six.
