Rockers hold off Dock Spiders for second straight night

The Green Bay Rockers had to hold off another Fond du Lac Dock Spiders rally in order to win their third straight game, this time a 7-5 decision.

The Rockers struck first with three runs in the third inning with Payton Fort delivering the inning's big blow with an RBI single. They built up a 6-1 lead before the Dock Spiders outscored the Rockers 4-1 over the final two innings, but still coming up a couple runs short of forcing extra innings.

Max Humphrey homered for the Rockers' lone extra base hit in the game while Eli Selga led the team with two RBI. Alex LePage earned the win on the mound by allowing one run (0 ER) on three hits while striking out eight over six innings.

The Rockers return to Capital Credit Union Park with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch against La Crosse.
