After being doubled up at home by the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 6-3 on Friday, the Green Bay Rockers returned the favor to snap their four-game slide and win on the road 11-7.
In their 6-3 loss, the Rockers struck twice in the opening frame, but were outscored 6-0 over the next four innings to put themselves in a hole they could not dig out of. Aidan Kuni went 3-4 with a double, a homer, and one RBI to lead the Rockers. Max Humphrey and Eli Selga also had multi-hit games. Keaton Baird took the loss, allowing three runs (2 ER) on four hits and a walk while striking out four across four innings.
In their 11-7 win on Saturday, the Rockers scored multiple runs in each of the first three innings to take 7-0 lead. After the Rafters scored four runs in the fourth inning, the Rockers outscored the Rafters 4-3 in the final innings to win for the first time in nearly a week. Payton Fort was 3-3 with two homers and four RBI to pace the Rockers. David Ballenila and Dom Bello drove in a pair in the win. JT Guerrero III secured the win, allowing seven runs (1 ER) on six hits and three walks with four strikeouts across 6.1 innings.
The Rockers play in Fond du Lac on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. before wrapping up the month at home with games against the Dock Spiders on Monday and the La Crosse Loggers on Tuesday.
