Rockers let Woodchucks walk in third straight loss

The Green Bay Rockers walked nine and committed two errors in an 11-4 loss to the Wausau Woodchucks on Thursday for their third straight defeat.

The Woodchucks scored at least two runs in four innings, including a four run first inning. It was 9-1 Woodchucks when the Rockers staged their biggest rally with Payton Fort slugging a three-run homer to make it 9-4. The Woodchucks tallied two more runs in the eighth inning to put the game away.

Max Humphrey and David Ballenilla each had two hits in the loss while Dom Bello registered the other RBI in addition to Fort's three. Will Harrigan took the loss on the mound, allowing six runs (6 ER) on three hits and four walks while striking out five across three innings of work.

The Rockers are back home on Friday to face the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
