Sister Bay, Baileys Harbor battle on 105.1 The GOAT Sunday

Two northern Door County rivals will battle on 105.1 The GOAT Sunday afternoon when Sister Bay welcomes Baileys Harbor.

The Bays lost a heartbreaking 7-6 game to Kolberg last Sunday. They trailed 6-2 late before a four-run rally forced extra innings. Stew Larsen recorded an RBI single, making the game 6-3. Spencer Krause, who entered the day batting .600 but was 0-4 with 4 K's before the at-bat, roped a double into the gap to cut the lead to 6-5. Tom Sawyer would single home another run. Sam Forkert was the losing pitcher, pitching 10 innings and striking out 8 Braves.

The A's drew 16 walks en route to a 12-2 win over Institute Friday night. Isaac Baudhuin, Caleb Plazak, Patrick Haase, and Justin Hartel registered two or more walks on the evening, assisting the A's to score four times in the first inning and five times in the sixth inning. Bryce Plzak was a rare exception, not drawing a walk but was able to drive in two runs on two hits. Danny Lodl, Baudhuin, Gavin Blink, and Dom Blish also collected hits in the A's win. Chris Lodl earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs (2 ER) on two hits with strikeouts and eight walks.

Gary Barta will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 1:15 p.m. followed by the first pitch at 1:30 p.m.

Sunday's other games include West Jacksonport traveling to Maplewood, Egg Harbor hosting Washington Island, and Institute welcoming Kolberg.
