Blizzard return to work against Freight

The Green Bay Blizzard are coming off a bye week when they take the Resch Center turf on Saturday for a game against against the Fishers Freight.

The Blizzard bounced back from a rare loss with a 54-45 win on June 12th against the Jacksonville Sharks. Quarterback Liam Thompson finished with three touchdown passes and two rushing scores while connecting with Trevon Alexander all night long. Thompson now leads the entire IFL in passing touchdowns with 41 and sits fourth among all players in rushing categories as a QB. Alexander hauled in six catches for 77 yards and two scores, Kairee Robinson did his thing out of the backfield with a touchdown on the ground and another through the air, and Green Bay put up 33 points in the second quarter alone. Defensively, Najei Snyder led the team with nine tackles and Marcus Hillman came up with the play of the game, intercepting a Sharks pass in the fourth quarter just as Jacksonville was threatening to make it a one score game.

Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
