The Green Bay Rockers' pitching staff was throttled for the second time in three games on Monday as the team fell to the LaCrosse Loggers 12-2 on Monday.
The game was tied at 0 entering the bottom of the fourth inning when the Loggers tallied the only three runs they would need. They scored runs in the game's final five innings, including crooked numbers in four of them. It was 6-0 when the Rockers finally scored a run in the seventh on a Parker Martin double only to have the Loggers score three runs. It was the same story in the eighth inning with the Loggers plating three runs after Mike Dee singled in John Handy.
Martin paced the Rockers with three of the team's 10 hits while Coleman Lewis recorded two of his own. Alex LePage saw his record dip to 0-3 as he gave up three runs (3 ER) on two hits and two walks while striking out six in his four innings of work.
