Rockers hook Kingfish late

The Green Bay Rockers outlasted the Kenosha Kingfish on Thursday with an 11-10 victory at Capital Credit Union Park in Ashwaubenon.

 

The lead went back and forth through out the night with the Kingfish scoring two or more runs in the first, sixth, and eighth innings while the Rockers countered with multiple tallies in the forth and seventh inning. After the Kingfish tied the game at 10 with a four-run eighth inning, the Rockers scratched across the eventual game-winner in the bottom half of the frame on a home run by Andrew Raymond.

 

Aidan Kuni, Ben Fishel, Coleman Lewis, Max Humphrey, Raymond, and Eli Selga all had two hits in the contest, combining to drive in nine of the 11 runs. Kuni, Fishel,Lewis, Raymond, and Mike Dee all homered in the win with Raymond completing the deed twice.

 

Kaden Straily earned the win as the fourth of five relievers used in the game, allowing one run (1 ER) on one hit with one strikeout in 0.2 innings pitched.

 

The two teams are back at it Friday at 6:35 p.m.
