Institute hosts first night game of 2026 with Baileys Harbor

The Institute Cubs will play under its home lights for the first time this season on Friday when they welcome Baileys Harbor.

 

The Cubs scored three runs in the first inning and were shut out in the other eight of a 5-3 loss to West Jacksonport last week. Tommy Junion led the way for the Cubs with a hit and a RBI while Quinn Schram, Sam Zirbel,  and Josh Pflieger also tallied hits in the loss that went to Will Hartman ( 8 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 2 ER, 2 K, 2 BB).

 

The A's were shut out 11-0 against Maplewood last week. They were outhit 8-4 and victimized by five errors that led to two unearned runs. Caleb Plzak, Chris Lodl, Aaron Brey, and Isaac Baudhuin tallied hits for the A's in the loss.

 

First pitch is set for 7:30 p.m.
