Rockers swept in Madison

After losing 4-3 on Saturday, a second day at the Duck Blind was not any kinder to the Green Bay Rockers as they lost a second straight game to the Madison Mallards 8-6.

The Rockers had a 6-0 lead built up thanks to a first inning, two-run home run by Max Humphrey and four more runs in the fourth inning before the Mallards tied the game in the sixth inning with six runs. In the ninth inning, Preston Yaucher walked off the Rockers with a two-run homer.

Humphrey, John Handy, and Payton Fort each had two hits, combining for three of the team's five RBI. Ricky Howell took the loss for the Rockers, giving up the game-winning homer in the ninth inning.

The Rockers' road trip continues Monday and Tuesday with games at the Lakeshore Chinooks before hosting the same team on Thursday and Friday.
