Packers sign CB Cisse and WR Rice

The Green Bay Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst has recently announced the signing of cornerback Brandon Cisse, and the addition of wide receiver Brenden Rice off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Rice (6’2”, 208lbs), a sophomore out of the University of Southern California, was originally selected in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Chargers. As a rookie, he appeared in three games for the Chargers before suffering a season-ending injury. This past season, he spent time on the practice squads of the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, and Las Vegas Raiders.

Cisse, drafted in the second round by the Packers, has signed a four-year rookie contract. During his last season of collegiate football with South Carolina, he had 27 tackles, an interception, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.
