Sister Bay scored four runs in the first two innings and three in the final two innings of an 8-3 win over Baileys Harbor on Sunday.
The Bays took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning before tacking on three more in the second inning as they took advantage of three walks and a hit by pitch. The A's and the Bays traded runs in the middle innings with Baileys Harbor countering Sister Bay's RBI sacrifice fly off the bat of Stewart Larsen with Caleb Plzak's RBI sacrifice fly in the fourth inning and a run-scoring single by Chris Lodl. The Bays outscored the A's 3-1 in the final two innings with Larsen and Casey Weddig singling in runs and the A's scratching across the run amidst a ninth inning rally.
The Bays were led by Spencer Krause, who went 4-4 with an RBI. Larsen had two hits while four others recorded one. Alex Laughlin, Sawyer Johnson, Larsen (2), and Krause all registered at least one RBI. Sam Forkert earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs (1 ER) on three hits with five strikeouts across seven innings.
Patrick Haase, Bryce Plzak, Lodl, and Justin Hartel all recorded hits for the A's with Lodl, Caleb Plzak, and Gavin Blink getting credit for the RBI. Danny Lodl took the loss in the complete game effort, allowing eight runs (6 ER) on 10 hits while striking out 11.
