Wolves, Vikings, Pioneers, and Clippers track and field running at Chilton

The Algoma, Gibraltar, Sevastopol, and Sturgeon Bay track and field teams are taking on a meet held at Chilton this Thursday.

 

The other schools to be in attendance are Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran High School, Howards Grove, Roncalli, Denmark, Wrightstown, and St. Ignatius - Chesterton Academy. 

 

The Wolves last ran at the Oconto Falls Invitational, where their pole vaulters both took second place. Cooper Fay and Estella Marrero, the pole vaulters, were the Wolves' top finishers on the night.

 

The Pioneers also recently competed in the Oconto Falls Invitational. Aaron Tomaszewski paired a second-place finish in the 1600m with a win in the 3200m. Cash Kuehn posted wins in the high jump and triple jump. For the girls, Braelyn Staats achieved a new personal best in the triple jump, earning second. 

 

The Vikings most recently competed at a meet held at Luxemburg-Casco. The two teams placed in the Top 5 in six events. Josie Martin was responsible for two of those, including a second-place finish in the shot put. Azucena Jauregui was also close to the top of the podium, finishing the 300m hurdles in second place with a personal best. Xavier Gaddes (discus) and the Vikings' 4x200m and 4x800m relay teams were top finishers for the boys.

 

The Clippers last ran at the Door County Classic, which saw both the boys and girls take second. The boys were led by Rayshaune Johnson(100m, 200m), Alex Boden (100m hurdles, 300m hurdles), Landon Evers (shot put, discus), and Cedar Tomberlin (long jump) with event wins. Winning their events for the girls were Talia Schmidt (pole vault) and Delaney Skiba (1600m and 3200m).

 

The meet begins at 3:45 p.m.
