Former Packers guard Blaine passes away

Ed Blaine, a former guard for the Green Bay Packers, has died at age 86 due to illness.

 

The Packers drafted Blaine in the second round of the 1962 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Blaine appeared in all 14 games as the Packers won their second straight NFL championship under coach Vince Lombardi.

 

After his tenure in Green Bay, Blaine finished his professional career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
