Rockers pick up three players from Columbia University

The Green Bay Rockers have announced the signing of a trio of players from Columbia University.

 

Ben Fishel, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound outfielder, has appeared in nine games with Columbia this year. In his sophomore season, he posted a .243 batting average in 33 games with two home runs and 17 RBIs.

 

Payton Soske, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound right-handed pitcher and redshirt junior, missed last season due to injury. The season prior, Soske appeared in three games, pitching 2 2/3 innings and striking out six.

 

Will Harrigan, a 5-foot-11, 200-pound right-handed pitcher, enters his junior year and his first season at Columbia University. This spring, Harrigan has appeared in six games for the Lions, recording six strikeouts in six innings. His fastball has reached a velocity of 94.6 mph.
