Late NTDP goal completes weekend sweep of Gamblers

Green Bay rallied to erase a two-goal deficit but came up just short Saturday night, falling 3-2 to the USA Hockey National Team Development Program at the Resch Center.

 

The NTDP struck twice in the opening period to build an early lead. A goal at 6:25 opened the scoring before the visitors added another in the final minute of the period to take a 2-0 advantage into the first intermission.

 

Answering in the second period, Will Wooten cut the deficit to one at 7:32, finishing a play from Brady Conboy and Ryan Knutson to bring the Gamblers within 2-1 heading into the third.

 

The comeback continued early in the final frame. Carter Gulley tied the game at 2-2 at 5:35, scoring his 21st goal of the season with assists from Knutson and Kasper Katz.
