Gamblers storm Capitols in matinee

The Green Bay Gamblers converted two power plays in the first and third periods to beat the Madison Capitols in front of more than 4,300 fans at the Resch Center Sunday afternoon.

The Gamblers and Capitols traded goals in the first period before the Gamblers scored three unanswered tallies in the second period, including two from Elliot Gulley. They added two more goals in the third period to put the game on ice for the Gamblers, which took two of the three games they played at the Resch Center over the weekend.

In addition to Gulley's three-point heroics (2G, 1A),  Gunnar Conboy (0G, 2A) and William Samuelsson (0G, 2A) had multipoint games while Oliver McKinney, Jack Kultgen, Zach Wooten.  and Geno Carcone tallied goals. Joey Slavick sparkled in the net with 27 saves on 29 shots faced.

The Gamblers continue their homestand on Friday with two games against Team USA.
